About the Internal Complaints Committee

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of IIMT Rohtak has been constituted in accordance with the Gender Sensitization, Prevention and Prohibition of Sexual Harassment of Women Employees and Students and Redressal of Grievances in Technical Institutions Regulations, 2016, notified by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and in compliance with the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

About the Grievance Redressal Committee

In order to provide an effective mechanism for the redressal of grievances of students who are already enrolled in an institution, as well as those seeking admission, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has notified the All India Council for Technical Education (Redressal of Grievance of Students) Regulations, 2019, vide F. No. 1-101/PGRC/AICTE/Regulation/2019 dated 07.11.2019. These regulations mandate the establishment of a grievance redressal mechanism in all AICTE-approved Technical Institutions.

As per the regulations, any complaint from an aggrieved student relating to the institution shall be addressed to the Chairperson, Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC).

Online Grievance Redressal Mechanism

  • Each institution shall, within three months from the date of issue of the notification, establish an online grievance redressal portal through which any aggrieved student may submit an application seeking redressal of grievances.
  • Upon receipt of an online complaint, the institution shall forward the complaint, along with its comments, to the appropriate Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) within 15 days of receipt of the complaint.
  • The SGRC shall fix a date for hearing the complaint and communicate the same to both the institution and the aggrieved student.
  • An aggrieved student may appear in person or may authorize a representative to present his/her case.

    GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL COMMITTEE

    The Grievance Redressal Committee (GRC) has been constituted in accordance with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) – Redressal of Grievance of Students Regulations, 2019, to address and resolve grievances of students in a fair, transparent, and time-bound manner.

    The committee aims to provide a supportive platform for students to voice their concerns related to academic, administrative, or institutional matters and ensures that grievances are handled with due care, confidentiality, and impartiality.
